Dear Prospective Families
Carrying on the traditions from our founders, the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, St. John Vianney School has educated thousands of young minds for the past five decades. We are a TK- 8th grade co-educational Catholic elementary and junior high school located in Rancho Cordova, California. Accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, St. John Vianney School provides a quality education which stresses traditional Catholic values and practices. We maintain high academic standards, serve the community and encourage respect for all people.
The goal of St. John Vianney School is to educate the whole child, keeping an appropriate balance of spiritual, intellectual, cultural, social, emotional, and physical development. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and that the function of the school is to extend and support this process. It is our aim to implement a program that will recognize and address the individual needs and dignity of each child because all are children of God
The core curriculum is academically challenging and is designed to help students prepare for rigorous high school pursuits. Beyond the classroom, St. John Vianney students are offered many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, including athletics, academic competitions, art docent program, choir, and countless special events occurring throughout the year.
I have over 20 years experience in Catholic Education. I was appointed Principal in 2004 after having been a teacher and assistant principal. My husband Don and I have been married for 34 years and have three St. John Vianney graduates: Katie, 1993; Elizabeth, 1995; and Patrick, 2000. I continue to remain impressed with our faculty who constantly show their personal commitment to the needs of our students. The feedback which we receive consistently as our students enter high school throughout the local community is that they are well-prepared
I hope the information on this page has helped you become familiar with our fine school and with me. I am extremely proud of our students, parents, faculty, and staff. We are proud to claim that we provide a family-oriented community in which children learn to achieve their best in a loving, supportive and challenging academic environment.
Sincerely In Christ,
Mrs. Julia Boen
